Most people's thoughts of Chile, before the last few weeks, probably didn't amount to much more than its singular geography, its wines, or maybe one day taking a trip to Santiago.
But of course today the Chilean miners were all freed and are home and safe, back on the surface of the planet after many weeks underground. Makes you wonder how they coped. But of course, there will be books, magazine articles, documentaries and a whole lot more pretty soon. The media will be on this one for a while yet.
And while nobody could ever want to be trapped in a mine for any length of time, the miners at least have the potential to make some kind of financial future now that they are safe.
What I'm wondering though is - would there be an insurance policy that cowuld cover such an eventuality? Any thoughts on this - let me know.
